Welcome to Junction Preschool!

I have always enjoyed little people. They soak up everything around them and find a sense of wonder and joy in simple things. In my 2nd year of college, I knew that little people would hold a special place in my life.

After graduating from Chico State with a Bachelors degree in Child Development, I fell into an amazing job as an Office Manager for a local engineering company. I was torn...an entry level preschool teacher versus a salaried position with paid vacation...Needless to say, I managed that office for 8 years, until my son Wade was born in 2000. My years as a "stay and home mom" began and all that I learned in college came rolling right back to me. What fun!

I grew up here in Palo Cedro, so when Gary and I started our little family, we made the move from Redding back to the country. There is a great sense of community here, and it will always be home.

My son (Wade) attended Junction from Kindergarten to 8th grade, and will be a junior at Foothill High School next year. My daughter (Ryan) started right here at Junction Preschool and is in 6th grade at JMS.

With the kiddos growing up a bit, it was a perfect time to make my way back into the working world. Coincidentally, Miss Marsha needed a bit of help in the preschool, so in the spring of 2015 I joined the team. I absolutely love it!

Junction Preschool offers a structured, caring environment, which is exactly what 3, 4, and 5 year old children need. We spend time getting to know the children and focus on giving each of them what he/she needs to thrive and love learning. Preschool is about learning through play, and we have a lot of FUN in the process.
