Mr. Darin Pust
With a deep passion for student success and a commitment to integrity, Darin Pust is a visionary educational leader dedicated to fostering excellence in schools. As the Superintendent/Principal of Junction Elementary School District, he has led transformative initiatives, including securing grants for career and technical education, revitalizing school facilities, and improving food services. His leadership experience also includes serving as Principal at Parsons Junior High, where he spearheaded efforts to enhance academic achievement, student engagement, and positive behavioral support, earning statewide recognition.
Darin is excited to lead Junction Elementary School District into the future, focusing on academic achievement, enriching student experiences, and strengthening community partnerships. He believes in creating an environment where students are not only challenged academically but also supported in their personal growth through extracurricular opportunities and hands-on learning. By fostering strong relationships between the school, families, and local organizations, he aims to build a thriving educational community that empowers students to succeed.
Beyond his professional achievements, Darin is a devoted husband and father of three school-aged daughters. His wife, a special education teacher, shares his dedication to education, and together they are deeply invested in the success of students both at school and in the community. Outside of work, Darin volunteers as a mountain bike coach and plays piano in his church’s worship band, embracing opportunities to mentor and inspire young people in various aspects of life.
With a Master’s in Teaching from Western Oregon University and a Bachelor’s in Music from Simpson University, Darin blends academic expertise with creative problem-solving and strong leadership skills. His ability to connect with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds has driven meaningful improvements in school culture and academic outcomes. As an award-winning administrator, he remains focused on empowering students and educators to reach their fullest potential.
