Mrs. Debbie Stierli
With over 30 years of experience in education, Debbie Stierli is a dedicated K–8 educational leader committed to creating supportive, student-centered learning communities built on strong relationships, collaboration, and open communication.
Previously, Debbie worked in higher education where she played a key role in developing the PK–3 Early Childhood Education credential for Simpson University. Later she served as Director of Clinical Practice at Simpson University, overseeing coursework, internships, and student teaching placements to help prepare future educators for success. Debbie collaborated closely with schools, university faculty, and teacher candidates to ensure high-quality clinical experiences that prepared future educators for success in the classroom.
Debbie also served for nine years as Principal/Superintendent of Rocky Point Charter School District, where she focused on experiential and project-based learning, helping to build an educational environment centered on creativity, exploration, and student engagement. She began her career as a junior high teacher with Enterprise Elementary School District, focusing on engaging instruction and student growth.
Debbie holds a Master of Science in Applied School Leadership from National University, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Simpson University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Information and Communication Systems with an emphasis in Organizational Communication and a minor in Political Science from California State University, Chico.
As a child, Debbie spent her summers riding stubborn ponies all over Palo Cedro. Her best memories are riding bareback and barefoot through unfenced properties, stopping to swim in cow creek, or looking for logs to jump. Currently, Debbie is an active member of the Shasta County Search and Rescue Mounted Posse. She and her husband of 37 years, Devin, have proudly raised two sons, Dalton and Dawson, who are the absolute joys of their lives. On her days away from school, Debbie enjoys trail riding and horse camping.
Overall, Debbie’s career reflects a deep commitment to educational excellence, leadership, and serving her community. She is delighted to be a part of and to serve the Junction Elementary School District community!
