Welcome to Third Grade

 I am one of the third grade teachers at Junction Elementary School District.  My two favorite things are children and the outdoors.  Both bring a saturation of challenge, joy, and change!  Over the past 28 years, I’ve been teaching children and playing outside.

I have spent much of my career teaching at the middle school level.  I have taught multiple subjects, including English, Social Studies, Science, and Spanish, and other electives. Twenty-six of those years, I have been at Junction—my home!    I made a moved to third grade in 2014. I have taught third and a third-fourth combination class at the elementary level. I love it!  Third graders seem to learn everything new, from multiplication to inferences.  Their enthusiasm is a constant inspiration, and I love coming to work each day!

When I am not working, you will find me outdoors hiking, backpacking, kayaking, biking, boating, or running with my dogs.  I love to play in the dirt in my garden, or cook a special meal at home.  I have a close family, so I spend time talking or visiting with my sister, brother, and close relatives.   

I feel fortunate to have found my other family and home at Junction School!  We are the best!
