Mr. Clarno

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Clarno

I have loved music nearly all my life. My mother and three brothers are all very talented choral musicians. Growing up in a musical family helped me to cultivate my love for music into a career. I received my undergraduate degree in Music Education from California State University, Northridge in 2003. Continuing my studies at Northridge, I received my teaching credential in 2004.

I have performed with some of the world's greatest musicians in world class venues, including Wynton Marsalis at the Hollywood Bowl, The Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Russell Watson at the grand opening of the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Eric Whitacre at both the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles and Carnegie Hall in New York, The Three Mo’ Tenors, Barry Manilow, and Barbra Streisand. As a member of Cal State Northridge’s premiere choral group, The Northridge Singers, Cameron traveled to Wales, competing for and winning the 2003 Choir of the World title.

I began my teaching career at Providencia Elementary School in Burbank, California. I have taught at every grade level from Kindergarten through High School. I am very excited to begin this new chapter in his musical journey as the Director of Choral Music at Foothill High School and Director of Music at Junction Middle School.
